Android Contains 47 Times More Malware Than iOS- Tim Cook (Apple CEO)
Android and iOS are the market leaders in terms of OS. Which one is better? That’s a million-dollar question. Users choose platforms as per their needs and choice.
Fans of both the OS
troll made fun of each other. But it’s still difficult to say which
operating system is the best. However, Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said
something about it that could disappoint Android fans a little.
Tim Cook, while talking
about Android safety during a virtual interview at the VivaTech Conference,
said something that could be quite shocking and frustrating to Android fans.
During the virtual interview, Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke on many issues,
including privacy, company values, regulation, etc. During this chat, Cook
said that Android has 47 times more malware than iOS.
Explaining the reason behind this, he said, “We have designed iOS in such a way
that it has only one app store and all apps are reviewed before going to the
store. It excludes a lot of malwares from the ecosystem. Customers
constantly tell us how important it is for them.”
He also spoke about the importance of privacy for the company.
He said, “We have been focusing on privacy for nearly a decade. We
consider it as a basic human right.
It’s the fundamental right of the people, and we’ve been focusing on privacy
for a decade. Steve used to say that Privacy simply explains what people
are signing up for, and taking their permission is mandatory, and this
permission should be taken again and again. We’ve always tried to live up
to that.”
Apple to launch AR and AI-based products
Apple CEO Tim Cook has
indirectly confirmed that we can see the company launching AR-based and
AI-based products about the future launch. “I always get excited about AR
because I see it as a technology that can improve life on a large scale,” he
said. We are working on AR with iPhone and iPads and will see how it
becomes a product in the long run. However, the most important thing is
that it can make people’s lives even better.”
At the same time, Cook
added, “I’m excited about the ability to remove AI and certain things that
relax and work and save time for people.”
Let me tell you that Apple is working on many products these
days that can be introduced shortly. It mainly has a new iPhone of Apple
called iPhone 13. The company can launch 3 phones under this series which
will be having amazing features.
Proposed
EU Technology Regulations Violate iPhone Security
Apple CEO Tim Cook
lashed out on Wednesday at recently approved EU laws intended at limiting
the power of US tech behemoths, also stated that they could negatively
impact iPhone security and privacy.
Cook, during his first
public statements on EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager’s proposed Digital
Markets Act (DMA), said that some portions were good, some were not. He raised
concerns that the draught rules would encourage the installation of apps that
will not originate from Apple’s App Store, a practice known as “side-loading.”
“You look at an example
here that I don’t believe it would be in the best interest (of the user): the
existing DMA dialect which is being discussed will impose side-loading on the
iPhone,” Apple CEO Tim Cook said remotely at VivaTech, France’s largest technology
forum.
“As a result, it would
be the final method of getting applications onto the iPhone,” he explained.
“This would demolish iPhone security, as well as a lot of the data protection
initiatives we’ve built into the App Store, such as privacy intrusion labels
and app-tracking transparency,” he added.
