Change the Standard Browser in Slack

  4. From the Settings screen, choose the Advanced option.
  5. Now, switch the toggle of ‘Open web pages in-app’ to enable it.
  6. Finally, apply the changes.

 

Remove the Browser’s Cache

  1. Firstly, launch Chrome on your system.
  2. Then insert “chrome://settings” in it and select the OK button.
  3. You should move to the end of the screen and click on the Advanced button.
  4. After expending the menu of Advanced, beneath the “Privacy and Security” section, choose the “Clear browsing data” option.
  5. Afterward, the other menu will pop up. Now, you need to verify the items you would like to remove along with the date.
  6. Now, click on the ‘All-time’ option, mark all boxes, and then select the “Clear browsing data” option.
  7. Once you have removed the browsing data and cookies, reboot the system properly.

 

Reinstall the Slack in Windows

  1. To open the run prompt, press the Windows and R hotkeys simultaneously over the keyboard.
  2. After that, insert ‘appwiz.cpl’ into it and select the OK button to launch the Application Manager.
  3. Then find the Slack option and right-click on it.
  4. Now, you need to choose the Uninstall button.
  5. Once the uninstallation is over, reboot the system properly.
  6. Now, reach Slack’s official site and download the newest version.
  7. Finally, select the executable file and right-click on it, then choose the ‘Run as administrator’ option.
  8. Install the software by following the on-screen prompts.

 

Reinstall Slack in Linux

You can reinstall Slack in Linux by pursuing these directions provided below:

  1. Go to the Store of Ubuntu Software and then uninstall the Slack software.
  2. After that, visit Slack’s official download site and download the compatible version on the system.
  3. After downloading the file, install the package by using this command: sudo dpkg -i slack-desktop-*.deb
  4. Now, reboot the system properly.
  5. Open the newly installed Stack app and log in to your account.
