For Preventing You From Motion Sickness, Apple Has Planned To Launch VR For Car

Motion sickness is your body’s condition when you are ill or not able to think clearly. It is the condition that usually occurs when you travel from car, plane, boat, and train. The sensory organ of the body sends mixed reactions to your brain that cause dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, and sometimes motion sickness. If you learn that your body is prone to this condition, then you need to take care while traveling from any transport. 

Now Apple’s interest is increasing in virtual reality that goes beyond its rumored VR headset and smart glasses. Recently, a patent application suggests that the company is looking for preparing virtual reality in the Automobile sector that might help people with motion sickness. The system would be installed in vehicles and help you in preventing drivers and passengers from motion sickness. The company has applied for a patent for a new VR system that would be installed in any vehicle. Presumably, it will come pre-installed by manufacturers. 

The VR environment could be projected on the windows, and you can also use this feature with the headset. For using this feature, you need a car equipped with a sensor system that feeds an external data to the VR system that rebuilds the outside world in the form of virtual reality. 

Their VR system would provide a virtual view that replicates the real world with a few fundamental changes that might help you in combating this issue. For instance, the system will show slow or speed visuals that can manage your motion sickness. You will have the authority to manage the visuals at your convenience. 

Undoubtedly, the virtual reality system would prove a completely revolutionary step in this modern technological era. The virtual headset or system would prove a useful tool that can replace the real-life view with the smallest details. The fantastic aspect of virtual reality would give depth and change the user’s movement for the environment. Inside VR, the acceleration and motion of vehicles would be managed due to the situation created by VR. 

You don’t need to worry about vehicle control while driving the car. Users can drive vehicles with vehicle controls like steering, suspension, brakes, throttle, and many more while using VR features. Even there will be a feature that can control the climate and adjust the environment for the comfort of the driver. The radio system of the car might prove helpful in getting audio cues while driving the vehicle. 

The patent application mentioned that this technology could be used as a mixed reality situation and VR. It hints that it would work with Apple’s rumored mixed reality glasses, which is quite impressive.

Apple might unveil these glasses as soon as possible, too, with a launch date. Possibly, you will see a new Apple’s VR glasses in 2021. Apple also described the steps to use this VR technology in an autonomous vehicle.  

The patent application is titled “Immersive Virtual Display,” a continuation of another patent by a former NASA engineer Mark Rober. Rober has left this project, but the engineering team of Apple has continued this project.
