The best upgradation technique involves swapping your HDD to SSD. Doing this, you will get the data transferring speeds up to 4 times quicker than usual that will mesmerize yours by providing additional speeds.

To accomplish this procedure, you need to pursue these guidelines carefully:

First and foremost, Flip-up over your Mac Mini.

Then, put your thumb portion to the area of circular divots and then twist the bottom portion to clockwise.

After that, you will see that the base of these divots is moving away, but you have to investigate too closely through a plastic or credit card.

Next, loosen and remove all the available screws located on your wireless shroud.

Now, try to move the shroud to one side with great care and ensure not to disturb the main cord or associating cords.

After that, use a Torx T5 screwdriver to unbox the disk section.

Now, remove two screws located on your fan and then move to the backside and then remove the one available there.

After that, pull the entire black shroud and then set it aside.

Then, remove the fan by pulling towards the outside from the main panel.

Next, you have to Slide your business card or something same just beneath the existing hard drive and then prize it up very slightly.

Remove the SATA cord from the panel for your hard drive just from the logic board.

Now, eject the existing hard drive just from your Mac Mini.

After that, remove the screws related to Torx T8 from your hard drive there.

Next, you have to attach the same screws towards the left-hand side section of your new SSD.

Detach the ribbon cord from your hard drive.

Now, you have to connect the ribbon cable to your SSD’s SATA Connectors.

Then, you have to turn the SSD over so its upside-down portion appears, and the available screws are facing towards the edge of your device.

After that, you can use your business card once more for your support. Then, slide the SSD panel into its appropriate place until you see that the screws are not locked.

Now, you may reconnect the Ribbon cord to your Logic board.

Then, you need to reassemble your device by repeating the above procedures. First, you have to install the black shroud and then install the Fan.

After that, you have to manage your wireless shroud.

Finally, twist the base into the appropriate position.

Adding Second Storage Drive

2012 Mac Mini also provides the feature to add additional storage in the form of the second. One can add it to maximize the storage section there.

First and foremost, you have to follow all the steps from 1 to 17 to detach the existing drive and to remove it properly. After that, those steps will help you to prepare for your New SSD Boot Drive there.

Now remove any of the remaining items from your logic board at this point that includes your wireless shroud and IR cords.

Fetch all the tools related to the second drive installation kit.

Now, you have to remove the final screw from the logic board with the help of Torx T6 screwdriver.

Then, you have to insert the logic board detachment tool into the available holes.

After that, remove the logic board by pulling it away from its parent case.

Now remove the main power cord from your logic board.

Next, detach the logic board outward from the back section of the disk case.

Detach all the two screws related to Torx T6 and then hold the dive bracket.

Eject the remaining clips directly from the section of your power supply.

Now, you have to turn the power socket to anti-clockwise up to 90 degrees.

You have to pull out the device’s power supply cord away from the back portion of the case.

Now, pull out the drive bracket carefully.

Connect the rubber grommets from the installation tool kit to the available holes on the available drive bracket.

Then, connect the ribbon cord from the installation kit to your new drive.

Now, make sure that your ribbon cable is facing to the top and then screw up the fresh drive into the available bracket with the available screws from the available installation kit.

Then, put the bracket of your hard drive into the respective case and then arrange it carefully according to the holes.

Now, slide up the back portion of power into the respective case until it locks into the perfect location.

Now, re-attach both the slide bars by screwing it through the T6 screws back to the case.

Then, repeat the above procedures to reinsert the logic board, fixings and connectors. It also includes the newly installed drive and its associated cables.

You have to follow all the steps from 18 to 23 points to insert the main SSD and then reassemble the tools of Mac Mini.
