Did You Also Miss Kimiko’s Appearance in The Boys Season 1?
The scene which we are talking about is when A-Train shows up at
the residence of Hugh Campbell Sr.(played by Simon Pegg). Hugh comes out after
he is called out by A-Train and says that he does not possess any backups.
A-Train instantly searches the house to ensure that Hugh is indeed alone. He
goes on about his menacing monologue giving all indications that he is about to
finish Hugh Campbell for good before Kimiko arrives with a weapon on her hand
and strikes it on his leg. As A-Train’s leg is damaged, he is now handicapped
and cannot use his super-speed powers.
Why did she come and from
where did she come?
A-Train ran at the speed of
a photon to search the house of Hugh Campbell Sr. to discover whether Campbell
is storing someone inside the house that could secretly kill him. It seems
impossible that someone was so sharp that she hid from the hawk-like eyes of
the fastest man on planet Earth. However, according to the theory and a clip
posted by a Redditor, there was a cleft opening up behind him the moment he was
about to rip into Hugh Campbell.
It is unnoticeable to the
naked eye in normal viewing, and one has to pause the video and then play it
frame by frame to notice what the Reddit account was suggesting. What is
imperative is the fact that this revelation will fit perfectly into the context
of the series. A-Train must have ignored the tiny ventilation system, and there
was no way he could have gotten inside of it anyway. So, the theory suggests
that Kimiko was hiding there, perfectly invisible to the vision of A-Train, and
she was waiting for her moment to strike A-Train.
The conversation that
followed the revelation of the Reddit subscribers clearly suggests that not
many had noticed that air duct tunnel in the first viewing.
Kimiko has proven herself
to be a pivotal character on the show, and her status in the team is increasing
with every passing episode that is arriving thick and fast every week.
