HOW TO FIX INTERNAL HARD DRIVE SHOWING AS REMOVABLE DISK ON WINDOWS 10?
Windows 10 is amidst

Check
and Upgrade BIOS
If you would like to

Press Win +R keys at
once on your keyboard to launch the Run dialog section.

You should input
command ‘msinfo32.’ Now, select OK.
·
After reaching System
Information screen, locate the item labeled ‘BIOS Version/Date.’ Write down its
figure.

Then open whichever
browser and go to the motherboard website of manufacturers.
·
You should browse for
the model number. Now, download the applicable updates.
Modify

Navigate to the
taskbar search section and input cmd into it.

administrator.’
·
You should select Yes
on pop-up of User Account Control.
·
Then input the
‘devmgmt.msc’ into it and press the Enter key.

internal.

the drive and choose the Properties option.

Go to the General
button and note bus number near to the Location.
·
Later, enter the
earlier opened Command Prompt screen, input the pursuing and press the Enter
key: reg.exe add
“HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci\Parameters\Device” /f /v
TreatAsInternalPort /t REG_MULTI_SZ /d x.

Finally, replace X
with the previously noted Bus number.

Shut all screens, and
for a successful result, reboot PC.
Turn
off SATA Hot Plug
·
Press Win + I keys at
once on your keyboard to launch the Windows Settings.

You should choose
Update and Security.

Then reach Recovery
subsection at the left-hand side panel.
·
Beneath ‘Advanced
Startup’ within the right-hand side panel, select the ‘Restart now’ tab.

The system will
restart, and a fresh menu will appear. Click on the Troubleshoot.

Go to the Advanced
options.
·
You should select the
UEFI Firmware Settings.
·
Restart the PC and you
will be directed to BIOS.
·
Finally, check the
SATA port and turn off the HOT Plug function.
Turn
on Write Caching Policy
If you wish to turn on
the write caching policy, then pursue the given instructions.
·
Go to the Start logo
and right-click on it, then choose the Device Manager.
·
You should open the
Disk Drives.
·
Navigate to internal
hard drive (HDD or SSD) and right-click on it then select the Properties
option.
·
Move to Policies
button and make sure that to tick mark the box beside ‘Write Caching Policy’
option.
·
Finally, click on OK
and restart the device.
Change
Registry Entries
·
Open Run.
·
Input ‘Regedit.’ Now,
click on OK.
·
After entering the
Registry Editor and follow:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\storahci\Parameters\Device.

Go to the right-hand
side panel of Device key, right-click on it and choose ‘Multi-String Value.’
·
It should be
named’TreatAsInternalPort.’
·
Then twice-click to
edit it. On the Value data section, begin with 0 moving forward with 123
according to the number of ports.
·
The number should be
assigned vertically as- 0, 1, 2, 3.
·
The over example is
for 4 ports. You have to enter 0, hit the Enter key, and add remaining numbers.

You should click on OK
and reboot the device.
